While other kids were planning on being a doctor, attorney ETC. At an early age in life, I knew I was going to have my own restaurant of some sort. It wasn’t to little bit later in life when I met Joey Prato and Vinny. Both had their own separate restaurants where I would learn a valuable trade that would allow me to provide for my family for the rest of my life. After working for these two men. I realize what kind of restaurant I would have. Growing up in north central Pennsylvania in Italian/Irish family, we were never the richest family on in the neighborhood. So, I knew it was going to take a lot of work and planning if I ever was going to achieve my dreams and goals.

In 2017 I finally was able to open my first hoagie shop in Butler PA on Pillow Street. It was a very small hole in the wall shop. I am proud to say that even how small that place was. We had the best hoagies in town. I master hoagie making and produce some of the best tasting hoagies known to mankind. The vision and goal were to grow the business into an Italian eatery. It would feature our signature hoagies, pizza and pasta ETC. With a lot of unexpected stuff against us. I decided it was best for us to close with a mindset I would reopen one day in the future. In Late 2024, I met with the Butler Flea Market management team during the meeting I realized this was my opportunity to finally reopen.

On March 2nd, 2025, I reopened our doors! With the same vision and goals as before. To grow this company into Italian Eatery. I wasn’t sure if my old customers would remember me or not. But I had to give it a shot and came back with the same name as I started with. Diamond Joe’s Five Star Hoagies. Pizza has arrived! With pasta not too far away. This does not happen without all of you, my family! Yes, I was determined, yes, I had a vision and a plan. But you guys made this all possible. I cannot thank you guys enough for supporting me. You guys are all my family. Each time you guys walk in, I greet my family. The future is bright for us, whatever name we are called in the future just know that quality of food will always be top notch!
